shades of Togetherness-an art and culture exchange between 9 Indian and 18 Bhutanese students in Thimpu was organised from 23rd Dec-29th Dec 2013 in association with Empowerment. Students of India were exposed to the many facets of Bhutanese popular culture and were inspired to discuss and share cultural nuances of their native place India. During their stay the students toured the City with its marvelous Dzongs, Dochula Pass, Changankha Lakhang, Buddha Point, Takin Preserve and other places. Children enthusiastically drew sketches and painted at the sites and studied the nuances of the monuments and tried to gain a deeper perspective on the cultural significance they hold and the related historical aspects.

The students participated in fork mix contemporary art workshop conducted by guest artists Mr. Rajesh Choden and Mr. Sukhbir Biswa. Mr. Asha Kama gave an orientation and introduction to all the participants. On the concluding day an exhibition showcasing the paintings done by the students was put up for viewing. H.E. High Commissioner of India Mr. Haran graced the occasion with his kind presence and inaugurated the exhibition. The exhibition was followed by cultural performances by the students.
