World Peace is the fruit that can grow only on the Tree of World Unity. Seeing the impact of terrorism in world scenario there is the urgent need to impress upon young minds the value of unity and to nurture peace and harmony in the hearts of children. As our freedom fighters fought for the freedom with peace, unity and non-violence, today again there is again an urgent need to aware the young minds about these values of Bapu.

An Art Event was organized at Select CITYWALK on the 3rd and 4th of October, 2009 on the theme ‘Bapu’s Dream of Peaceful World’ children participated in Art Exhibition and Art Competition and depicted solidarity, cooperation, unity, non-violence, fairness as key values of Mahatma Gandhi.

2009

India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was born on November 14. After his death in 1963, his birthday has been celebrated as Children’s Day in India. Children’s Day is not just a day to let the future generation have its say. It is a day to remember a leader who, in his quiet but determined way, laid the foundation to convert a nascent nation into a world power.

Children’s Day is to celebrate “childhood”. On Children’s Day tribute is payed to all children in the world. Children are loved by one and all. They win over our hearts with their angelic eyes and innocent smiles. It makes one realise that maybe that’s the way God wanted us to be.

To celebrate this day we organized a painting competition for children and kept various other workshops for the whole day to give right exposure to them.
